Chow Time!

Of course, you know me. I think that Joshua is so totally adorable when he eats! He just looks like he enjoys it so much! I can't help it! So, on our final day at camp, I had to let him enjoy himself! Priscilla also brought her kids to join in the last day of fun. It seemed like Nathaniel and Isaiah really enjoyed themselves with the other kids.

Here are Joshua & Sarah Grace.

They were both very ready for lunch and a nap!

Isaiah eating his lunch.

And Sarah eating hers.

And of course, we all know what it looks like when Joshua eats his! Here you see macaroni & cheese, grapes, peas and carrots.

Here you are seeing what the floor underneath Joshua looked like when he was finished eating his yummy lunch.

And of course he is covered in it.

But he enjoys it none-the-less.

And so ends another year of camp :)

Last Day of Camp

Today was the last day of camp for the year. It was a blast! This morning, the 3-5 year olds got to perform in front of main tab this morning. Look at all the little rescue heroes!

It's a little dark but that is Isaac there in the middle.

Back in the kids tab, it is review time of all the Bible stories we heard this week and all of our memory verses.

During the morning service in the main tab, the youth decided to leave their service and sing the song "I saw the light" while walking around the building. The man teaching in the main tab just taught right through it...and then, the youth walked right back to the youth tab and continued their own service.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time with the youth but from what Sarah said, it was an enjoyable year and there are many stories to be shared. I can't wait to hear about some of the pranks from this year!

Rainy Day at Camp

Did anyone else around here hear that storm last night?!?! It was incredible! When I woke up, I was amazed at how close it sounded! Then, I was worried about Aunt Sharon sleeping in a TENT over on the campgrounds(someone actually invited them into their cabin to sleep so I was worried for nothing). SO, at 2 AM this morning, I am calling Sami to tell her to go make sure that her mom is ok! Everything worked out last night but it made for an interesting day at camp today. All the kids had to stay inside b/c it is STILL rainy out. So, of course, since all the other kids are playing, Joshua wanted out of the stroller. We tried that for a while but eventually, I had to put him back in and take him for a walk.

Check out Joshua's new crawl. He doesn't like hard surfaces on his knees so he crawls like this. Rachel says that it reminds her of the Jungle Book character, Mogley.

Who cares that we brought toys?! He wants to play with ribbon?

That's better. At least that is ours....look at the devil eyes.

Another new thing that Joshua does is crawl in and out of his stoller. It makes me nervous so I collapsed the stroller. He was very confused.

And now, we are home from camp and Joshua is sleeping peacefully. FINALLY!

A much needed rest

After camp on Wednesday, I took Joshua to my mom's house for a nap so that I could get his invitations for his first birthday finished. Joshua was up for the much needed rest! The pics are a little blurry but you get the point.

And after our much needed rest, of course we need a snack.

Wednesday at Camp

This poor kid! I go over to camp and he loves to be outside but it is also really hard on him. He is to the point where he wants to be down and mobile but he isn't quite to walking yet. So, being outside on the campgrounds, I can't just let him down b/c it's more woods than grass. So, poor Joshua has been stuck in the stroller all week.

This is the first time he got to be down. We were in the Ulery building where Sami, Rachel and Dustin are staying. Aunt "can you" was in the bathroom drying her hair and Joshua wanted in.

Playing

Joshua has become very good at playing by himself in his room and in our living room. He really is a home body. He can get really fussy when we are out and about but as soon as we get home, he is just dandy.

Morning at Camp

Joshua got up around 9 this morning so we decided that we were going to go out to the camp grounds. We dropped by Dr. Payton's and picked up Nathaniel and Isaiah on our way and we were off. Nathaniel and Isaiah had a good time with the other kids while Joshua and Sarah Grace mostly stuck with their mamas. Joshua did get down on the floor and play for a little while so that I could help some of the kids with their craft. When he decided he was hungry though, nothing was going to suit him until the got some good food.

Here is Joshua playing with his new Thomas the Tank Engine Pull Back Toy. He had chased it down and was beating it up.

This is when I was finishing up the craft and Joshua was starting to get a little fussy.

Isaac in his rescue suit. The theme of camp is "The Rescue Zone. Saved by God's Power"...which is also the same theme of our church's VBS next week.

Lunchtime at Camp

Today's lunch at camp was wraps, walking tacos, corn/lima beans, mixed fruit, bread and lemonade. Joshua LOVES lunch time. He was getting a little fussy when we were getting ready to leave the morning session so we hustled into line and got into lunch pretty early. He ate like a little piggy! He tried a little bit of everything but really want to town on the mixed fruit and corn. He also really liked the bowl of shredded cheese that Aunt Sarah brought over to him. Here is my messy little boy.

"Mama, I want my drink"

"Ahh...there we go!"

Now, doesn't that look like a happy boy?

A Day at the Zoo!

Today, after church, we went to the Zoo with Joel, Cynetta and Noah. They have a season pass with a guest. So, we didn't have to pay to get in. Joshua and Noah had a blast together! Joshua was super-fussy in church because I would not let him sleep. He WAS going to take a nap on the way there! SO, he ate his lunch and passed out for the whole hour and 15 minutes to the Zoo. He had a good time hanging out with his buddy Noah and exploring the world of animals.

Here is little buddy on his way into the zoo. He just woke up from his nap.

Here we are in the petting zoo. He was fine with this at first...

and we're kind of ok with it here...notice the "animals may bite" sign

However, by this time, Joshua is done with the petting part.

Joshua & Daddy.

Joshua & Daddy checking out the turtles.

Joshua & Noah on the Elephant Sculpture.

As I said, they had a blast!

Meet the world's largest snake in captivity...Fluffy.

And Noah pet a snake.

All-in-all, we had a great day! Thanks for taking us Seekins family!!!
