Here are a few pictures that I took on New Year's Eve.

Joshua likes to help change the sheets on our bed...

...or maybe hinder the changing of the sheets.

He thinks that he is so big though. It's sad :(

I LOVE this picture. Joshua tried to move the furniture when it was just the two of us home. I didn't have the energy to build a huge fort so I told him that he would have to wait on Daddy. He didn't forget....

...so, here is Joshua & Daddy in their fort.

We went to our friends Jim & Linda's house for New Year's Eve dinner. FABULOUS food! We played some games and then came home and slept in the new year.

Here is Joshua loving on their dog.

He loves dogs...ours are outside though b/c they shed so much. He likes this one since it's inside.

Happy New Year!

A Final Christmas Get Together

We were finally able to get together with Randy, Priscilla & their kids on December 30. As funny as it is, their presents were the first that I bought. LOL!

Here are Joshua & Sarah Grace playing in Joshua's bedroom. Little people are pretty big in our house. Sarah is playing with the carnival that we got for Joshua and Joshua is playing with the farm that he got from Noah.

All the kids played in the Thomas tent from Grammy & Pappy. After Joshua saw the other kids playing in it, he wasn't afraid of it anymore.

Nathaniel & Isaiah played with Joshua's Trackmaster Thomas. That is a really fun set. As I am typing here, I realize that Thomas is taking over my house!

They got Joshua this doodle pro with the movie Cars on it. For those of you who don't have one....FABULOUS church toy!!!

Nathaniel & Isaiah got Giant Chalk & Jungle Book(I think Jungle Book is Jesse's fav).

They also got a Cars tent kind of like the Thomas on that Joshua got. Those tents are awesome because they fold flat.

At the end of the evening, all the kids were playing with the Thomas Take Alongs.

Well, Christmas was finally over...at least mostly. I still have one gift for Isabella that Joshua hasn't given yet. Everything is put away in it's place and my house is back to normal...actually, it's cleaner than normal. I am trying to catch up on blogging and scrapbooking now. Joshua and I spend a lot of time getting use out of all these toys.

Christmas at Grammy & Pappy's House

After opening presents at our house, we went to my mom & Dad's.

I bought this rocking horse for Joshua in like October. We saved it for Christmas but we let it sit out at Mom & Dad's so that Joshua would get used to it. He would walk up to it before but we walked in Christmas morning and he was immediately ready to ride. Good timing!

You can see, even from the side, that he has a huge smile on his face.

Here is my mom. I thought this was a really good picture.

Here is Robert. He is looking at the Ornament that we made for Grammy & Pappy. It is supposed to have Joshua's hand print in it. However, Joshua doesn't cooperate for stuff like that. So, it is written on and has his picture on it.

Here are Mom & Sarah (Aunt Canyou). We got each of them a gift from Jesse & I and then one from Joshua. Joshua got his Aunt Canyou a set of photo coasters.

Joshua got Dad a from with Pappy in the matting. I didn't fill it with pictures because, well, I ran out of time.

You would have thought that Joshua hadn't eaten in days! A family friend had made bread for us and Joshua at most of the loaf while he was opening presents. He is a little bread head but he out did himself Christmas morning.

Aunt Sarah got Joshua and Elmo & Friends book and a Thomas book. Both were big scores! There are days when I have to put the Thomas book up because I am sick of listening to it. You can really only take so much...

Joshua's fascination with Elmo is really funny to me. We don't watch Sesame St at our house. We are Thomas and Friends and Super Why people. I figure that he loves Thomas and Super Why is very educational. We just never got into Sesame St. But, Joshua LOVES Elmo!!

Uncle Robert got Joshua an authentic Cubs dugout jacket. He is so totally cute in it!!!

Yes, I did buy that shirt just for Christmas day. I bought the jammies that he is wearing on Christmas morning at our house two days before Christmas. I wanted him cute for pictures.

Mom & Dad got Jesse & I a portable DVD player for the car. I am really sick of hearing Thomas Videos and I can't wait until Joshua is old enough to use headphones with it. However, there is no longer ANY fussing when we get in the car and it doesn't matter how long he has to be in the car. He has Thomas and that is enough.

At one point, Joshua got so excited about opening presents, he just started opening everyones.

Presents...

...and more presents....

Now, this one was pretty funny. This was the first clothing that Joshua had opened from Grammy & Pappy. Here he is looking at it...

...And here he is throwing it aside and looking for the toys.

He also got his first OSU hat. Go bucks!

Here is the Thomas tent that Joshua got. He was a little afraid of it at first but Isaiah & Sarah came over and showed him that it was fun.

Here is Jesse. I kept waiting for this present. I knew that he was going to be excited about it.

And he was....a jacket to match Joshua's!!!

Aren't they cute???

Here is Joshua playing with his Thomas take alongs. He LOVES those trains!! They go everywhere with us and when we are home, they are all over the house because there is always one in his hands.

The end of Grammy & Pappy's house! Finally huh? I gave you fair warning ;-)

Christmas Morning at Our House

On Christmas morning, we got out of bed and had breakfast casserole and biscuits with Jelly before opening presents. I know, I know. It's mean to make the kid eat before presents but he didn't even know the presents were there until after breakfast was over and I took him in the living room to show him.

Here is Joshua digging into his blackberry jelly. Amy D did a great job on it and Joshua loves the stuff!

YUMMY YUMMY! He is so cute. I can't believe how big he is getting. He doesn't even act like a baby anymore (unless he is throwing a tantrum). He is little mister independent. Look at him digging in.

Ok, so now we realize that there are presents in here. This was the 5th or 6th day that he had opened any presents for Christmas. He had get-togethers with other sides of the family and with extended family and exchanges with his little buddies. By this time, he was a pro.

He stood there for a few minutes wondering where to start. He was like "which one?"

But it didn't take him long to pick on out and get started. This was not a quick process by any means. I make it a little harder on everyone who opens gifts that I wrap because I insist on putting a bow on everything.

As soon as Joshua opened his camo rain boots, he insisted on putting them on. So, here he is in his Chrismas jammies and his rain boots opening gifts.

Here is Daddy showing Joshua one of the trinkets that he got for Christmas.

The present behind him....not interested...the box in front of him....only has boots in it but he was more interested in his boots...

...for a minute anyway...

Don't I look lovely? I wanted to start the tradition where we all get up and open presents in our jammies.....all but Jesse anyway. I couldn't show you those pictures. LOL!

I almost didn't buy the Elmo giggle and go garage. I picked it up along with some extra cars at the last minute. I am really glad that I did. It is one of his favorite toys.

Of course, we had to open and play with everything and this was no different.

Here is Joshua opening and trying to figure out how to use his Thomas lantern. Some days, he is soooo funny with it. He will turn the light on and bounce around the house laughing at himself.

Here is the Elmo Giggle & Go Garage. It talks in several different of the Sesame St. voices as the cars drive over different spots.

And Mega Bloks! I had talked before about getting him the two big bags to add to his collection. I am really glad that I did. We now have enough bloks to make a fort. He already had the tracks of megs bloks and so we combine those and then he uses his train on them instead of cars.

As you can see, we LOVE Mega Bloks. He dumped the whole container and then took a dive on top.

Finally, after a VERY LONG time, everything was opened and I had it organized back under the tree. It was time for showers, cute outfits and Grammy & Pappy's house.

I know, we always go overboard for Christmas. I can't help it though. I like being able to spoil him on Christmas morning. You can see a couple of things there that aren't in the pics above. There is a picture of Jesse & Joshua in a frame and Jesse and I each got digital picture gadgets as take alongs.

I know, I know

I know, I am getting behind again. There are just so many pictures from Christmas that I am dreading uploading them all! I have been trying to sort all of our pictures on the computer and I am trying to catch up on some scrapbooking too. So, I am VERY busy! LOL! There have been a couple of really cute things that Joshua has done lately that I don't have pictures of but I want to tell you about. First, I am very proud of him and Timmy. They made it all the way through church yesterday morning without us having to take them out. They were very well behaved and they played together very well. Joshua got up earlier than normal yesterday therefore, he was ready for a nap a little early. Timmy was sitting of Lori's lap and he had this nuk and blankie. Joshua leaned his head of Timmy's leg and Timmy sat there and rubbed Joshua's head while they both rested for a little while. It was soooo adorable and I wish that I had a picture. The second thing (I am trying to catch a picture of this) is that Joshua got a train engineer's hat from Mamaw & Papaw for Christmas. He wears it all around the house repeatedly taking it off and putting it back on. Except, when he puts it on, he puts it on sideways like a little punk and then he runs through the house yelling at the top of his lungs....did I mention that he is only wearing a diaper when he is doing this? I am trying to get some pictures of it because it is so funny! Well, I am back to some scrapbooking because I think that Joshua finally went to sleep. He has been sitting in his bed talking since about 12:30 and it is 2:15. LOL!
