Joshua at the fair

Joshua did very well at the fair. He ended up spending a lot more time there than I originally planned on. Poor Rachel got sick and couldn't watch him so Jesse took one day off and Joshua spent some time at my mom's but he was at the fair a lot! He loved fair food and all the animals! LOL! The Avon lady across the aisle from us didn't seem to like that he was with me when he was fussing. That's her problem though. We have a mutual agreement that we are both putting in a request NOT to be close to each other next year....she isn't very friendly!

Here are Joshua and daddy on the train. 6 tickets for the two of them to ride and I almost forgot to take pictures...until Tina said "where is your camera?"

Here is my little buddy relaxing after lunch one day.

Isn't he the cutest thing?!?!

...wearing daddy's hat...

Eating his raisins at the barrow show....lol...I would NOT be able to eat in that barn.

Another year of the fair is over. Now, we sit around and wait for next year ;-)

My Fair Booth

The County Fair went VERY well! I ended up working a lot of it myself but not near as much as I was going to. I don't think I could have worked the whole thing. It was sooooo hot! I got a lot of really good leads though and I hope that will really pick up my business. Here are a couple pictures of the booth.

This was the right side of the booth. I had a the simple additions and some of my bowls. This is also where I put my catalogs and business cards to pass out.

And here is the right side. Carmella had some awesome ideas on how to do this side. You can't really see, but there are scrapers sticking out of that plant....wait, let me see if I can find a close-up....

There we go....you can kinda see now...

All-in-all, it was a pretty good business booster, both for me and for the other girls that worked. I really like how it turned out.

Getting Pappy

Joshua was really excited the other night when dad got in from a trip. Joshua hadn't seen him in a few days and he attacked. He was so adorable giving his Pappy kisses and jumping up and down on him.

Taco Night!

I love taco night! Joshua is starting to love it too! Taco night is always the night where I eat WAY too much and go to bed miserable, but I love to eat it!!!! Apparently, Joshua does too.

Look at all of that in his hair!

Definitely party time when we are eating!

And here, he is telling Pappy all about it.

And then he looks at me like "hey mom, ya gonna give me a bath now?"

Today's Devotion

In case you're interested, today's devotion from Proverbs 31 ministries is really good. Check out the link the the right.

Check out the video.

I haven't figured out how to post videos yet, so check out the Seekins blog. The link is to the right. There is a really cute video of Joshua and Noah during VBS Carnival clean-up.

Party Time!

Joshua's 1st birthday party went AWESOME! Everyone who said they were coming, did. We had a great turnout and that kid made out like a bandit! Here are some of the pictures from our time of celebration.

We found this recipe for "blue duck punch" on the internet. It went PERFECTLY with our theme.

Look how talented Cynetta is! She made this cake for Joshua! She is getting really good at this cake decorating thing. I jokingly told her the other night what them I was doing next year and told her to get to work.

Dessert table

Food table...and there was a LOT of food!

Isabella wasn't so sure about getting in the pool with the boys. She is only 11 months and is walking very well all by herself!!

Isaac, Sean Allen, & Logan helped me to fill the shaving cream pool.

Carter, Fred and Grandpa Joe.

Papaw & Mamaw holding Audrey.

Hmmm...lets see....we have Sami, Sharon, Sam, Rachel, Roger, Hazel, RAndy, Priscilla, Miranda, Mom, a little bit of Sarah, Jesse, Noah, Micah and Ashley...

Calla Grace, she is like 14 or 15 months and just started walking. She loves it.

Grandma Laurie HATES having her picture taken...I always snap one of her anyway...here she is with Hollie.

Frank & Dottie. Dottie has taken Joshua on as another grandkid.

Linda hates having her picture take too. Emily smiles big though.

And here is Jim and Daniel.

There's Noah. He is Joshua's bestest buddy.

Joshua wasn't so sure about that blue icing in the beginning.

But, he got used to the idea.

There are over 100 pictures of him opening gifts!!! So, I will spare you and only show a couple.

This is Joshua getting all his train stuff from Grammy, Pappy, Aunt Can-you and Robert.

And here is his baseball toy from Sean, Rebekah, Sean Allen, Logan and Trey. She said that since softball is where we met, it was only appropriate.

Papaw finally got to hang out with his little buddy.

Trey is getting so big! He will be 1 soon too!...in October, I think.

Sarah Grace too! She turns 1 the 18th, in case anyone looking forgot.

Here is Joshua during the final clean-up. This just shows what a good mood he was in all day. He did very well. I still can't get over the fact that he didn't fuss.

I can't believe that a whole year has passed...today actually. He is so big and so independent(unless I need to get something done and then he is clinging to my leg). He'll be walking here in a few days. He realized that he is standing by himself but he is afraid to take a step, so he stands for a while and then sits down. He is my little buddy.
